Torre Solaria Insolia
Sicily
Yellow in colour, notes of citrus, pear drops and apple. A classic indigenous southern Italian white grape variety.
Vernaccia di San Gimignano
Tuscany
Another classic indigenous white grape variety. Lighter and more floral than the Insolia. Grown only in and around the historic town of San Gimignano in Tuscany.
Montepulciano Terre Palladiane
Central Italy/Abruzzo/Marche
Sangiovese is a classic and indigenous red grape variety found throughout central Italy. On the whole producing warming and soft red wines of character.
Primitivo Torre Solaria
Solento
Primitivo is agrued to be the European ancestor of the Californian Zinfandel grape. Slightly spicy/peppery with soft grippy tannins and a warming finish.
Valpolicella Classico
Veneto/NE Italy
Not one indigenous grape varieties but 3! Corvina, Rondinella & Molinara, a superb aromatic and warming red wine. A true classic Italian and the little brother to the famous Amarone.
Sangiovese Le Focaie
Maremma/Tuscanny
Maremma is the costal region in Tuscany where some of the most famous and expensive Tuscan wines are produced today. Sangiovese is the back bone to Chianti and Brunello and makes world class wines indeed.
